Why this travel French press Most French presses are designed for a worktop. Glass sides, a glued handle, and no protection at all. The moment one goes in a bag it is a matter of time. This one is built the other way round: shatterproof glass first, then a hard casing over the top that works as both insulation and shock absorber.
