Contact Coffee Company Ltd. Timemore Travel Coffee Maker | 450ml Cafetière
Travel Coffee Maker: the 450ml Cafetière A 450ml travel coffee maker built to be carried, and a proper cafetière rather than a compromise. The glass body is shatterproof, and it sits inside a hard plastic casing that adds a second layer of protection, so the whole thing takes knocks that would end a kitchen cafetière. There is no separate handle to snap off, a fine stainless steel filter, and a footprint small enough to live in a kitbag. Real French press coffee, wherever you have hot water. Why this travel French press Most French presses are designed for a worktop. Glass sides, a glued handle, and no protection at all. The moment one goes in a bag it is a matter of time. This one is built the other way round: shatterproof glass first, then a hard casing over the top that works as both insulation and shock absorber. It is the robust option for anyone who actually moves with their kit, on the road, in the field, or on a job site. How to brew with a French press Add 25 to 30g of coarse ground coffee to the press. Pour 400ml of hot water (93 to 96°C) over the grounds. Stir gently. Place the lid on with the plunger up. Wait 4 minutes. Press the plunger down slowly. Pour and drink. What grind to use Coarse. Finer grinds slip through the mesh and end up as sediment in the cup. Our ground coffee is ground for cafetière, so it works straight out of the bag. Specs Capacity: 450ml (3 cups) Body: shatterproof borosilicate glass inside a hard plastic protective casing Plunger and filter: stainless steel with food safe silicone Dimensions: 180mm H x 85mm W x 85mm D Temperature resistant: minus 30°C to 200°C Colour: black Best coffee for a French press The mesh filter lets the oils through, which means a fuller body than a paper filter brew. Works well with darker, chocolatey blends. Battle Prep: Brazil and Latin America blend, balanced and chocolatey. The default daily driver. After Hours: higher Robusta content, intense and nutty, for early starts or long shifts. Is this French press unbreakable? No cafetière is indestructible, and we will not claim it is. What this one has is a shatterproof glass body and a hard plastic casing around it, which is two more layers of protection than a standard glass cafetière carries. It is built to survive being packed, dropped, and used away from a kitchen. Is it big enough to share? 450ml is three cups, or two decent mugs. Enough for one person over a morning, or two people once. Is it a good camping coffee maker? Yes. It needs nothing but hot water and coarse ground coffee. No filters to run out of, no power, no separate handle to lose, which is more than most camping coffee makers can say. Boil water however you normally would and brew straight into the press. How does French press coffee compare on strength? Read our coffee strength scale guide to see where cafetière coffee sits on the strength scale, and how it stacks up against pour over, AeroPress, and espresso. We also wrote a direct comparison: pour over vs French press.

Contact Coffee Company Ltd. XL AeroPress Travel Coffee Maker
XL AeroPress Travel Coffee Maker The AeroPress XL is the AeroPress, doubled. Same patented brew method as the standard AeroPress, but with a 20oz / 592ml capacity that's enough to fill two mugs or one large carafe. Includes the brewer, a shatterproof Tritan carafe, 100 paper filters, a stirrer, and a scoop. How to brew with the AeroPress XL Place a paper filter in the cap and rinse with hot water to remove any paper taste. Add 30 to 34g of medium-fine ground coffee to the chamber. Pour 440 to 480ml of hot water (93 to 96°C) over the grounds. Stir gently for 10 seconds. Insert the plunger and press down slowly. Aim for 30 to 60 seconds of total press time. What grind to use Medium-fine, the same as the standard AeroPress. Sits between drip grind and espresso grind. Our ground coffee (ground for cafetière) works in an XL. Pack includes AeroPress XL chamber, plunger, filter cap, and seal Shatterproof Tritan carafe (20oz / 592ml) 100 paper micro-filters Stirrer Scoop Compatibility note Standard AeroPress components are not interchangeable with the XL. Different chamber, different plunger, different filters. Stock the right kit for whichever press you own. Best coffee for the XL The XL handles bigger batches, so we tend to reach for a daily-driver blend rather than a single origin. Two suggestions: Battle Prep: Brazil and Latin America blend, balanced, chocolatey. Holds up to milk and dilution if you're filling the carafe and pouring multiple cups. Red On: single-origin Robusta from the Badra Estate, 1,293mg caffeine per 12fl oz. Bigger volume of Red On means more caffeine in the carafe, so pace yourself. How strong is XL AeroPress coffee? Read our coffee strength scale guide to see where AeroPress coffee sits on the strength scale and what actually makes coffee strong.

Contact Coffee Company Ltd. Aeropress Coffee Maker Bundle
AeroPress Coffee Maker Bundle The AeroPress with the two upgrades worth having: the Flow Control Filter Cap and the reusable stainless steel filter. Three pieces of kit, one bundle. Saves money over buying them individually. What's in the bundle AeroPress Coffee Maker: the brewer. Plastic, near-unbreakable, brews a clean cup in about a minute. Comes with the brewer, stirrer, scoop, and paper filters. Flow Control Filter Cap: a pressure-actuated valve that stops drip-through. Lets you steep for longer, use a coarser grind, and pull a crema closer to espresso when paired with a paper filter. Stainless Steel Filter: a reusable 316-grade steel filter. Lets the oils through that paper soaks up, for a fuller-bodied cup. No filter paper to run out of. Why these three pieces work together The standard AeroPress brews a clean cup with a paper filter. Add the Flow Control Cap and you can slow the brew down, hold pressure, and get more out of the grind. Swap to the steel filter and you keep the body and oils that paper would absorb. Run all three combinations and the AeroPress becomes a versatile bit of kit, not a one-trick brewer. Best coffee for the bundle Single origins suit the AeroPress because the brewer produces a clean cup that lets origin character come through. Honduras SHG or Brazil Daterra are good places to start. How strong is AeroPress coffee? Read our coffee strength scale guide for context on where AeroPress coffee sits on the strength scale and what actually makes coffee strong.

Contact Coffee Company Ltd. Travel Coffee Pour Over and Filter Papers
Travel Pour Over and Filter Papers A silicone pour-over cone with 40 V60 filter papers. The cone is flexible, near-unbreakable, packs flat, and brews a clean filter coffee anywhere you can find hot water. The complete pour-over kit in one bundle. How a pour over works Set the cone on a mug, drop in a paper filter, add ground coffee, and pour hot water in a slow spiral over the grounds. The water draws through the coffee bed, the filter holds the grounds back, and a clean cup of filter coffee lands in the mug below. Three minutes from kettle to mug. Why silicone over ceramic or plastic Ceramic shatters. Plastic warps and stains. Silicone bends to fit any rucksack pocket, takes drops without cracking, and doesn't pick up coffee residue. Pre-rinse the filter paper with hot water before brewing to wash out the paper taste. What grind to use Medium grind. A bit coarser than espresso, a bit finer than cafetière. Best coffee for pour over Single origins do well in a pour over. The clean filtration shows off origin character. Try Brazil Daterra for chocolate and nut notes, or Honduras SHG for hazelnut and caramel. Pack includes Silicone V60-style pour-over cone 40 V60 Coffee Filter Papers Pour over vs French press Pour over: lighter body, cleaner cup, more origin character. French press: heavier body, more oils, fuller mouthfeel. Different brewers for different jobs. We compared them in detail: pour over vs French press. How does pour over compare on strength? Read our coffee strength scale guide to see where pour-over coffee sits on the strength scale and what actually makes coffee strong.

Contact Coffee Company Ltd. Cleared Hot | Premium Hot Chocolate
Cleared Hot A 30 percent cocoa hot chocolate, named for the radio call that gives the green light to engage. Scoop into hot milk or water, stir, drink. Build it into a mocha with a shot of Contact Coffee for the days when one cup isn't going to cut it. Cleared Hot, explained The term is the radio authorisation to engage a target. When someone says Cleared Hot, the rules of engagement are met and the weapon can be released. We named the hot chocolate for the same reason we name the coffee for callsigns: it does what it says. How to make it Hot chocolate: scoop into hot milk or hot water, stir. Mocha: pour a shot of strong Contact Coffee into the mug first, then add Cleared Hot and hot milk. Stir. What's in the tin Minimum 30 percent cocoa Made for hot milk, hot water, or as a mocha base For the coffee side of the mocha, our Red On single-origin Robusta gives the biggest hit. After Hours has the chocolate and cocoa notes that pair well with the hot chocolate side.
