The clear padlock shows the pin stacks, the red handled picks cover common beginner shapes, and the tension tools let you learn the part of picking that matters most. Clear first feedback Watch the pins move while you learn how lifting and tension interact. Compact gift format A neat box makes it easy to give, store, and return to for short practice sessions. Room to upgrade Add the printed guidebook or extra locks when the learner wants more structure. Inside the kit The parts a beginner reaches for first The kit includes a red handled 15-piece pick set with tension tools, a concealed wallet-style credit-card pick set, a clear practice padlock with keys, and the 44-page digital guide. Start with the hook and a gentle turning tool to feel one pin stack at a time. Use the rakes after you understand how light tension changes the feedback. Keep the spy card kit as a fun extra, not the main way to learn pin-tumbler control. Fit check Choose this when you want compact, not maximal This kit is ideal when price, size, and giftability matter. If you want 2 clear locks and a broader boxed experience, compare the Lokko beginner gift set. If you already have picks and need practice targets, choose the Dangerfield 3 practice lock box. It includes picks, tension tools, a clear practice padlock, keys, a spy card kit, and a digital guide. How is it different from the larger gift set? This compact kit has 1 clear practice padlock. The larger Lokko gift set adds a second clear lock and broader bundle options. What should I add first? Add the printed guidebook if you like learning from paper. Add extra locks if you want more challenge after the clear padlock. Is it useful beyond the practice lock? The tools teach real pin-tumbler technique, but practise responsibly and only on locks you own or are authorised to work on. A compact first step into locksport Choose the Lokko compact kit when you want a smaller beginner set that still explains the job, shows the mechanism, and gives the buyer enough tools to start properly.
